Frequently asked questions
How many squares per inch is 1/4 inch graph paper?
Four squares per inch. Each square measures 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) on every side, giving the familiar quad-ruled grid.
What paper size is this template?
It is set to US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) by default. Switch to A4 or A5 in the editor if you need a different size.
Will it print at the correct size?
For a true-to-size grid, print at 100% scale (turn off "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages"). The PDF is built at exact A4, Letter or A5 dimensions, so 5 mm really measures 5 mm on paper.
Is 1/4 inch the same as 5 mm graph paper?
They are close but not identical: 1/4 inch is 6.35 mm, slightly larger than a 5 mm metric square. Use the metric template if you specifically need 5 mm.
